Based on a true story, Jasmine Plummer (Keke Palmer) has a difficult dream she wishes to make a reality: to become the first female quarterback in Pop Warner football history. Although most people in her small Illinois town are initially skeptical about her abilities, her uncle Curtis (Ice Cube) trains her to become the star of the their local team, the Harvey Colts.
